Privacy Policy

How PPT to HTML handles account data, uploaded presentations, generated HTML packages, cookies, analytics, and privacy requests.

Last updated: 2026-07-23

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of PPT to HTML ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you visit the website, create an account, convert a PowerPoint presentation, download an HTML package, or contact support.

By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you use PPT to HTML for an organization, you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to upload and process the presentation and any personal data it contains.

Information We Collect

Account and authentication information

When you register or sign in, we may process your name, email address, profile image, authentication credentials, session identifiers, verification records, and information received from an authentication provider you choose to use. Passwords are handled through the authentication system and are not stored as readable text.

Presentations and conversion data

When you start a conversion, we process:

  • The PPTX file you select is read and converted by a dedicated worker in your browser. The source file is not sent separately to our conversion server.
  • File information such as the original filename, file size, format, slide count, and conversion time.
  • Conversion status, progress, warnings, errors, fidelity notes, and generated package information.
  • The generated HTML package and browser preview needed to provide conversion history, preview, and download functions.

The generated HTML package may contain presentation content, media, and processed presentation data needed to reproduce the slides in a browser. You should treat the downloaded package as containing the same confidential or personal information as the original presentation.

Usage and technical information

We may collect request timestamps, IP address, browser and device information, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, diagnostic events, security signals, and logs needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

Support information

If you submit a support ticket, we process the ticket title, message, attachments, account information, and follow-up correspondence.

Billing information

If paid features are offered and you make a purchase, we may process order, subscription, invoice, payment status, and transaction identifiers. Payment card or wallet credentials are handled by the selected payment provider; we do not need to store full card numbers in the service database.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies or local storage for authentication sessions, security, interface preferences, and other functions needed to operate the service. Depending on site configuration, analytics or advertising services may also be enabled. Those providers may collect device, usage, and cookie information under their own policies.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and secure accounts and maintain authenticated sessions.
  • Coordinate browser-based presentation conversion, show progress, store generated previews, and provide HTML downloads.
  • Keep conversion history associated with the correct account.
  • Detect invalid files, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and service failures.
  • Provide support and respond to privacy or account requests.
  • Operate optional billing, email, storage, analytics, or advertising features when they are enabled.
  • Maintain, debug, measure, and improve the reliability and usability of the service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Service.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

Presentation Processing and Retention

The source PPTX is read by a dedicated worker in your browser and is not separately uploaded to our conversion server. A pending file may be kept temporarily in your browser's local storage so it can survive the sign-in handoff; the browser removes that pending copy after a successful conversion or after it expires.

The generated HTML preview and ZIP package are the product output and are uploaded to private object storage. They may embed processed presentation data, media, and source presentation bytes required by the browser renderer, and therefore should be treated as containing the original presentation. Ordinary generated artifacts are available in your private conversion history for three days after conversion, then are deleted automatically. An active public share that has been manually approved for search indexing may be retained beyond that default period until it is disabled, expires, or loses approval. Conversion metadata, status, warnings, and error records may remain associated with your account after the generated files are removed.

We retain account information, conversion metadata, support records, transaction records, and technical logs only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ by data category. You may request deletion through the support channel, subject to legal, security, backup, and fraud-prevention exceptions.

How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your presentation content or personal information. We may disclose information to:

  • Hosting, database, storage, authentication, email, customer-support, analytics, security, and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Payment providers when you choose to purchase a paid feature.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or transaction counterparties when reasonably necessary.
  • Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the service.
  • A successor or acquiring organization in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards.

No public presentation link is created by default. Private preview and download requests require an authenticated account and are checked against the owner of the conversion. If you choose to create a share link, anyone with that URL may be able to view the result until you disable the link. Shared results are marked noindex by default unless we separately approve them for indexing.

International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers. Availability of particular providers and transfer locations depends on how the service is deployed and configured.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access to private conversion results and restricted download responses. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for securely storing or hosting any HTML package you download.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to or a copy of personal information associated with you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion or restriction of certain processing.
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Receive certain data in a portable format.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable. We do not sell personal information as described in this policy.
  • Lodge a complaint with an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.

We may need to verify your identity and account ownership before completing a request. Some rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Children

PPT to HTML is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law. Do not use the service or upload a child's personal information unless a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized organization has provided all permissions required by law.

Third-Party Services and Downloaded Files

The website may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. After you download or host an HTML package outside PPT to HTML, its storage, access controls, distribution, and legal compliance are your responsibility.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new updated date and provide additional notice when required by law.

Contact and Privacy Requests

To ask a privacy question or exercise an applicable right, email support@ppttohtml.app or use the support channel available through your signed-in account. Include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
